The Buffalo Bills opened their 2025 NFL season with a breathtaking 41–40 comeback victory over the Baltimore Ravens.
Josh Allen showcased his clutch DNA, completing 28 of 41 passes for 356 yards, 4 touchdowns and 1 interception, while also rushing for 54 yards. His leadership was pivotal as Buffalo erased a 15-point deficit in the fourth quarter.
Allen’s highlight connections included a 34-yard touchdown strike to Stefon Diggs in the third quarter, a red-zone TD to rookie Keon Coleman, and a late drive capped by a 21-yard score to Dalton Kincaid that set the stage for the comeback. Finally, with seconds left, Matt Prater drilled a 32-yard field goal to complete the rally.
For Baltimore, Lamar Jackson had an electric outing despite the loss: 22 completions on 33 attempts for 301 yards, 3 passing TDs and 1 rushing score. He connected with Zay Flowers for a 40-yard bomb and found Mark Andrews twice in the end zone. But in the final quarter, the Ravens’ offense stalled just as Allen and the Bills caught fire.
What looked like a safe win for Baltimore transformed into a signature Bills moment, a game that will be remembered as one of the greatest Week 1 comebacks in NFL history.
