Club Tijuana faced Tigres UANL in a match marked by the gap between both squads, but also by a team that kept fighting until the final whistle.
Following the injury of goalkeeper Gaby Paz in previous matches, the team did not continue with recently debuted Bárbara, making the goalkeeping situation a talking point once again. From the start, Tigres controlled the tempo, generating constant attacking sequences, although without immediate clear danger.
The match featured intense individual battles, with players like Ordóñez and Hermoso constantly competing for possession. Tigres’ persistence paid off in the second half, when they opened the scoring with an unmarked header inside the box. Shortly after, they extended the lead with a powerful shot into the top corner, leaving no chance for the goalkeeper.
Despite the scoreline, the closing moments showed a different side of Tijuana. From the bench, the coaching staff repeatedly urged the team not to give up, creating a visible shift in energy. That mentality carried onto the field, as the team continued to press and compete until the end.
The final score was 0-2 in favor of Tigres, in a match that reflected the difference in quality, but also highlighted the resilience and mentality of the home side. 🔥
