Club Tijuana falls 1-2 to Santos Laguna in dramatic Clausura 2025 Matchday 10 clash

Club Tijuana suffered a 2-1 defeat against Santos Laguna in a clash between two teams near the bottom of the standings (15th vs 18th). Played at Estadio Caliente, Xolos started with urgency and intensity, driven by the need to secure points and boosted by returning players.

Tijuana consistently looked to create danger through crosses into the box, taking advantage of Doya’s return, while Santos relied on strong defensive efforts, including multiple goal-line clearances to keep the match level. With this result, Santos Laguna earns a crucial win and gains momentum in the standings, while Tijuana is left with frustration after controlling parts of the match but being heavily impacted by the red card. Xolos will need to make adjustments if they hope to climb out of the lower positions in the coming weeks.
