The World Cup atmosphere is already here with Colombia vs. Jordan

Hours before kickoff, hundreds of fans could be seen arriving by every available means, whether on foot, by train, or in their vehicles. The traffic throughout the streets of San Diego gave us an early indication that the stadium was going to be packed.

The first images were of a sea of yellow as Colombian fans arrived wearing jerseys of Valderrama, James, and Lucho.

The match began while many fans were still trying to get inside. The entry system was overwhelmed, and while people were waiting to gain access, Jordan delivered the first warning sign that they are a team capable of competing. Although they are not one of the most recognized teams in the tournament nor one many would expect to see in the final, a long-range shot nearly resulted in the opening goal for the Jordanians.

On the other hand, Colombia showed why many consider them capable of being among the four best teams in the world. Captain James continues to demonstrate his excellent vision and technical ability, while Luis Díaz brings the explosiveness that can change a match at any moment.

Matches like this one, with more than 28,500 fans in attendance, remind us how beautiful soccer can be and leave us excited for the grand opening on June 11.
