Today, Mobil Park welcomed the group "Pantone 294," a community of Los Angeles Dodgers fans who adopted the Pantone color code of their team's iconic blue as their name. The purpose of their visit was not only to experience Toros de Tijuana baseball, but also to once again see a player who was instrumental in some of the most memorable moments in Dodgers history: Justin Turner.

Ironically, the Toros de Tijuana faced another blue-clad opponent, the Charros de Jalisco, managed by Benjamín Gil. Gil arrives after winning both the Mexican Pacific League championship and the Caribbean Series with the Charros, although he was unable to achieve the desired result with Team Mexico during the 2026 World Baseball Classic.

This marks the second series between the Toros and Charros this season, but the first one to be played in Tijuana. The previous matchup, held at Estadio Panamericano, ended in favor of Jalisco, as the Charros won two of the three games.

The series that began tonight carries significant importance for both clubs. Charros currently sit in second place in the North Division, and another series victory against Tijuana would bring them much closer to the top spot. However, the Toros struck first and started the series on the right foot with a win in the opener. While many fans came to see Justin Turner, the player who ultimately stole the spotlight was Hernán Pérez, whose two-run home run proved to be the difference against the visiting team.

The question now remains: who will come away with the series victory?
