Pantone 294, one of the most passionate fan groups associated with the Los Angeles Dodgers, will once again make the trip to Tijuana for the opening game of the series between the Toros de Tijuana and the Charros de Jalisco. The well-known "Blue Wave" is expected to arrive at Toros Mobil Park around 4:00 p.m. to support the home team, but especially Justin Turner.
The former Dodgers third baseman has become one of the biggest attractions of the series. Many members of Pantone 294 watched Turner play in Los Angeles for nearly a decade and continue to have a special appreciation for one of the most beloved players of the Dodgers' recent era.
One of the best things about sports is the opportunity to share moments with people who have the same passion. Members of Pantone 294 will travel from Los Angeles as a community to support Turner and enjoy the baseball experience in Tijuana. According to information posted on the group's website, the trip includes round-trip transportation, tacos, and an afterparty on Avenida Revolución following the game.
The event also represents an opportunity to bring together Mexican, Mexican-American, and American fans in support of the same team. Experiences like this are something we'd love to see more often between Tijuana and San Diego, showing how sports can connect communities on both sides of the border. When that happens, everyone wins.
