Houston Dash left San Diego with a 1‑0 win thanks to a decisive stoppage‑time goal from Makenzy Robbe. The match, played at Snapdragon Stadium, was the season opener for both teams.

The Dash created danger early: in the 27th minute, Houston hit the post and forced an additional save from goalkeeper DiDi Haračić. Despite the scare, San Diego enjoyed most of the ball, ending the night with roughly 70 % possession and 19 shot attempts.

The breakthrough came deep into first‑half stoppage time. Maggie Graham delivered a cross into the box, and former Wave forward Makenzy Robbe slipped her shot past Haračić in the 45′+7 minute. That goal proved to be the only score of the match. San Diego pressed hard for an equaliser in the second half, launching numerous crosses and forcing Houston goalkeeper Jane Campbell into nine saves, but the Dash defence held firm.

With this result, the Houston Dash open their season with three points, while San Diego Wave FC will rue missed chances and look to bounce back in their next match.
